Strengths of hydrogen peroxide and their uses

Hydrogen peroxide comes in many varieties, for people first looking into the subject it can be pretty daunting with such a large array of strengths available. One of the first things that you need to learn is that not all hydrogen peroxide is suitable for human consumption, when selecting your H2O2 it’s extremely important to make sure you only purchase ‘foodgrade‘ hydrogen peroxide.

3% H2O2: 3% peroxide has many uses, primarily used and a mouthwash & toothpaste substitute when mixed with bicarb this powerful formula goes to work within your mouth removing bacteria from even the hardest to reach areas. 3% H2O2 can also be used to disinfect wounds although this is not as common these days as it once was.

7% & 15% H2O2: Both 7 and 15% peroxide can be used for health purposes but are more commonly used for cleaning around the home. At this percentage H2O2 can easily remove grease and stains around your home as well as being  a great natural disinfectant.

35% H2O2: This is the variety most commonly used during oxygen therapy. 35% H2O2 Is the highest percentage of hydrogen peroxide that can be sold in the UK. When using 35% peroxide you should never drink it neat. Instead it needs to be diluted in water or juice with only a drop or two needed to oxygenate the water.

This should make it somewhat clearer as to the right strength for your needs, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to drop us a comment.

Why is Oxygenation Good For You? (Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy)

Hold your breath, right now. Now how long do you think you can do that for? Twenty seconds? Less? Well there’s a reason for that, can you guess it? A lack of oxygen.

I can imagine that right now the words coming out of your mouth are along the lines of,
Well of course it was because of a lack of oxygen, I wasn’t breathing!” Well you’re right, obviously. But still, my point was proven nonetheless, without oxygen, you will not function.

So now you’ve seen the immediate reaction of a lack of oxygen, and felt it’s effects I can explain to you that every moment you live your body is slowly being robbed of it’s oxygen supply; the pollution in our air is cutting down the amount of OXYGEN in our air, our diets force our lungs to use more and more oxygen than we normally would require, and our lifestyles, which leave us bound to a chair day in and out tapping away at a keyboard, causing our lungs become less and less active, weakening them to dangerous levels.

Ours Air is not healthy

So think back to when you were holding your breath, how quickly you needed more oxygen, I can guarantee that as time progresses, you will be able to hold your breath for less and less time, simply because your body lacks the basic ability to intake the amount of oxygen you actually require.

Is there a way to increase the amount of oxygen I can intake?” You ask? Yes, there is and I’ve been writing about it for some time now, but I have done so, never quite explaining what exactly it is I’m talking about.

I am talking about, of course, Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen Peroxide is, in basis an advanced form of H20, commonly known as water. Now, what’s important here is you understand the chemical make up of H20, which is two Hydrogen Atoms, to one Oxygen Atom. The chemical make up of Hydrogen Peroxide on the other hand, is two Hydrogen Atoms, to two Oxygen Atoms.

Because of its chemical makeup, when Hydrogen Peroxide is imbued it delivers small amounts of Oxygen directly into our bloodstream, which in turn delivers it to the important organs in our bodies that require a constant supply of oxygen to remain healthy.

Over the course of this blog, I have continually reminded you to take only a 3% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide, I have said this for health reasons and your own safety throughout. But do not think this means that your body is getting any less oxygenation from the Hydrogen Peroxide, a 3% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide contains ten times its volume in gaseous oxygen, for example; A pint of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide contains ten pints of gaseous oxygen.

As a final question, try to remember the last time you accidentally cut yourself, can you remember the color of your blood? Was it a brilliant crimson? Or a dark red? As an explanation, the brighter the blood, the more oxygen your blood contains, the brighter it will be. By no means, cut yourself and check; just keep it in mind.

A daily supplement of Hydrogen Peroxide can help to increase the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream, giving you all the beneficial effects I have discussed with you dear reader. With only a dose a day, you will no longer have to walk your city streets sporting that rather lovely gas mask.
